Peter Fox has argued passionately against the implementation of the tourism tax proposed brought forward in the Senedd today.
Under the proposed legislation, a family of four children visiting Wales could pay up to around an extra £50 per to visit Wales for the week.
Commenting, Peter Fox said:
“It is clear that Labour have no idea what it takes to allow businesses to flourish, we saw that when it came to the Chancellor’s national insurance rise and now, we are seeing it when it comes to this tourism tax.
“This policy will impose huge amounts of red tape on small businesses and send the wrong message to a sector which must be nurtured.
“Rest assured, I will be opposing this legislation, and I hope my colleagues across the chamber will see sense and oppose this tax rise.”
