Last week, Peter Fox MS, helped launch a charity Tractor Run at Raglan Livestock organised by the Border Counties Vintage Club to raise money in support of the Monmouthshire Rural Support Centre (MRSC).
The MRSC, based at Raglan Livestock Market, provides crucial support for farmers and members of the rural community.
The centre, manned entirely by unpaid volunteers, offers a diverse range of support from both mental and physical health issues to legal and medical advice.
Commenting, Peter Fox said:
“It was an absolute pleasure to speak at the Tractor Run organised to raise funds for this incredible organisation which provides such important support to our farmers.
“Our Farmers have come under ever increasing pressure over recent years which takes a real toll on their health and wellbeing. The MRSC provides an invaluable support service for them. Events like this Tractor Run are so important to raise much needed monies to enable this crucial support centre to continue.
“I look forward to championing crucial organisations like the MRSC in the Senedd, advocating on their behalf to ensure our rural communities have a voice and the help they need."
