Following a Written Question from the Welsh Conservatives, the Welsh Government has confirmed that they will be releasing credit card spend data “In April 2023”.
Commenting on the Welsh Government’s delay in publishing procurement card data, Welsh Conservative Shadow Finance Minister, Peter Fox MS said:
“This data is normally released in February or March each year but the Welsh Government has delayed this report for some reason.
“Could it be that the discrepancies that have been found in the Welsh Government’s accounts for previous years are also in last year’s?
“When the UK Government publishes the same report monthly, it is concerning that in Wales we have waited over a year for the same data. This begs the question, what is the Welsh Government hiding?”
Previous data releases revealed Welsh Government spent £3,028.22 on yachting and boating, £3,049.20 was spent on clothing at Fashionscarfworld.com and £1,001 was spent at Zip World Limited.
