Commenting on his exchange with the Labour Finance Minister in the Senedd today, Welsh Conservative Shadow Finance Minister, Peter Fox MS said:
“Given that, according to the Auditor General, the Labour Government are in receipt of £1.20 for every £1 spent in England, the Minister’s insistence that the issues that our Welsh NHS is facing are Westminster born does not hold water.
“There has been a chronic failure by Labour to fund our Welsh NHS for 25 years. I asked today how money is allocated to specific specialities and projects that are in desperate need of adequate funding.
“I wanted to find out to what degree funding is data driven or whether it was a case of who shouts loudest. Unfortunately, the clarity I was looking for from the Minister was not forthcoming today.”
