Peter Fox, MS for the Monmouth constituency, has hailed the recent successes of the White Castle Vineyard during a recent visit to the site.
The vineyard, which is based in Monmouthshire, is the first Welsh vineyard to secure ‘gold’ in the Decanter World Wide Awards with its vintage 2018 Pinot Noir.
Mr Fox said:
“I congratulated Robb and Nicola Merchant on the fantastic news that they saw off stiff competition to secure ‘gold’ in the prestigious Decanter World Wide Awards.
“The White Castle Vineyard is a top-quality Monmouthshire vineyard - and we need to champion it.
“And it, once again, demonstrates Monmouthshire produces the finest wines and the best food in the whole of the UK – making the constituency a top destination for quality produce.”
