Peter Fox, the MS for the Monmouth constituency, has hailed the National Lottery Community Fund for providing a much-welcome boost for local charities, community groups and sports organisations.
Mr Fox said: “It’s fantastic to see how many local community organisations have benefited from National Lottery funding in and around the Monmouth constituency.
“These organisations provide a lifeline for so many, and that’s only possible because of the generosity of local residents.”
He added: “It’s encouraging to see that this funding, raised by National Lottery players, is having a significant impact on people’s lives across the Monmouth constituency.”

Caerwent Community Centre Committee Ltd will use £20,000 to contribute to the cost of improving the hall's floor. The Hall for All project will improve community cohesion, improve both physical and mental health of local people post COVID-19, as well as reduce the hall’s carbon footprint.
Cylch Meithrin Trefynwy
£10,000
Cylch Meithrin Trefynwy will continue to provide Welsh language child care in Monmouthshire with a grant of £10,000.
Archdiocese of Cardiff St David Lewis and St Francis Xavier Parish Church
£9,966
Archdiocese of Cardiff St David Lewis and St Francis Xavier Parish Church will use £9,966 to renovate their community hall so they can host regular events and activities for older people who have been isolated as a result of COVID-19.
21 Plus
£8,000
21 Plus will run two weekly sessions, providing educational and social activities for pre-school children and teenagers with Down syndrome with a grant of £8,000.
On Course Foundation
£6,090
On Course Foundation will use £6,090 to improve the health and wellbeing of wounded or injured service personnel, and veterans through golfing sessions in Monmouthshire.
Cyngor Plwyf Eglwys Sant Helen – Llanellen
£4,416
The Parochial Church Council of St. Helen’s Church – Llanellen will use £4,416 to make their churchyard more accessible to local people walking in their area and groups using the Usk Valley Walk.
