Commenting, Welsh Conservative and Shadow Finance Minister Peter Fox MS said:
“It is wrong for the Labour Government to start picking political fights over this when it was an independent body that made the decision.
“It is also worth noting the need to balance the wish to raise pay when large increases could further fuel inflation that is causing cost-of-living difficulties.
“The Labour administration in Cardiff Bay should implement the fair settlement of the pay review board and work to address the issues affecting this country rather than pursuing a needless battle.”
